This painting was juried into the Higbee Art & Frame 6" Squared Show.  The opening reception is Saturday evening,  December 8th in Costa Mesa, Ca.

It is one of two paintings I will have in the show.  The second painting is titled Sea Of Lavender and was posted on November 23rd.

I have been working on a series of wine country paintings, primarily inspired by Sonoma and Napa Valleys.  I find the lavender fields very beautiful as well as the geometric shapes of the farmlands, and the romance of the olive trees.

Here is this Umbrella couple again!  This time I tried a yellow one and I am liking it with my woman's blue coat.  The 8 x 8 board is first painted a rich red and dried.  The lavender is applied on top but not too much... I want the red to peek through.
