This painting was commissioned by a local interior designer for her own home.

She met with me and explained that she wanted two pieces that would hang side by side in the staircase of her beautiful home.  We discussed the palette, general composition and"feel" of the painting. 

My client mentioned liking the abstract quality of my work and she also had noticed that I often left

some underpainting showing through and liked that.  Anyway......... we worked together, meeting several times and here is the first painting!
