On My Easel, Janet Bludau, Abstract Graphic Landscapes

Each of these are oil on 12" Square Deep Birch Panels.

My plan is to go back in when they dry a bit, using oil sticks first.

Then I will scratch through the oil stick applications, using palette knives.

I hung them up together to decide if I like all the red showing through or if there is just too much of it.  Any opinions?

I sure am posting a lot of small paintings lately!  One reasons I like these small works is that you can have a much larger art piece by framing in some of the wonderful floater frames I can offer.  Higbee Frames is close to my studio and has a beautiful selection of top notch options.  More bang for your buck, if you will.  Another reason I have been painting small is that I am gearing up for a local show where they have specifically asked for small works.  I will be one of two artists showing and I feel very honored to be selected.  That being said, if you see any of my paintings that you are just wishing were larger, all you have to do is ask!  Email me at:  janethod@aol.com
